The world famous Blue Train is a five star luxurious train which travels between Pretoria and Cape Town, stopping en route at the unique station at Matjiesfontein for an off the train excursion. The train has played host to presidents, kings and queens, and offers gourmet dining experiences and some of the best wines South Africa has to offer, on its 27 hour journey.

A unique and more casual way of exploring Southern Africa is on the Shongololo Express, a "cruise" train -  like being on a cruise, only its on the land! The train travels at night time, stopping during the day to explore the country. There are 4 different itineraries ranging from 12 to 16 days, and between them, covering 8 countries: South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Tanzania.  The train carries its own mini buses, stopping along the route for specialised activities and excursions, which are categorised into 4 choices: culture and heritage, highlights, eco tourism and adventure.
