When travelling it is important to maintain you health, to ensure that you get the best out of your trip. We striongly recommend contacting either your doctor, or someone who specialises in travel medicine. At Travel and Cruise Fundamentals, we recommend The Travel Doctor.
It is best to seek advice at the planning stage of your holiday, as various preventative measures may need to be commenced some time before travel. Leaving this until the last minute may mean that you will travel without taking advantage of the best form of prevention,
Have you checked that all your vaccinations such as Tetanus, are current? Proper planing and small investment of time and money may make all the difference to your holiday.
Some of our suggestions:
* Make sure that you take any medications in the original container in which they were dispensed
* Take a copy of any prescriptions for medication that you amy require on your trip
* Ask your Doctor to provide you with a letter for any prescription medications that you are taking with you
* If you require prescription lenses in your glasses, take a spare pair of glasses with you. From personal
experience, there is nothing worse than having your glasses break or losing them on holiday and having
no spare pair to fall back on (even if the script is not 100% up to date, they will be better than none at
all)!
