North America
North America consists of 3 large countries, Canada, United States of America and Mexico as well as the large island of Greeenland. In addition there are seven smaller countries which make up the region commonly called Central America, as well over 20 islands in the Caribbean Sea.
Canada is the second largest country in the world, (after the Russian Federation) consisting of 13 provinces and territories, the largest of which is Nunavut. Whilst Toronto is the largest city, the capital is in fact, Ottawa. .

The United States of America is the 3rd largest country in the world, consisting of 50 States, and is centrally located in the North American Continent between Canada and Mexico; Washington DC is the nation’s capital. The USA has established itself as a world leader in many areas such as economy, technology and its military strength. The country is roughly divided into 6 main regions, each of which has many similarities such as geography, climate, history and culture. .
